On June 21, 2017, age 88, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Lincoln Place and Hazelwood. Beloved husband of Theresa (Dorney) Sturm; loving father of Nicholas (Diane) Sturm of Mercersburg Pa, Janet (Herman) Schipma of IL and Mary Anne (Paul) Bendzsuk of Lincoln Place; cherished grandfather of Theresa (Mike) Bykowski, Herman Schipma III, Thomas (Julianne) Bendzsuk, Sarah (Christopher) Armstrong and Joseph Sturm; great-grandfather of Matthew, Madison and Herman IV. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Lois Schoedel, Antoinette Rice, Jessie Wenke, William "Bud" Sturm Jr. and Francis Sturm.

Member of the Mon Valley Woodcarving Org. and enjoyed gardening.
