Adolph Gross, 92, of Lincoln Place, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Mary Eleanore and Elaine Steiner, and special friend of Audrey Kamnsky; loving father of James (the Rev. Beverly) Gross, Elizabeth (Edilberto) Bermudez, John (Mary Rose), William (Tambria) and David (Jane); cherished grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of six; several stepgrandchildren; brother of the late Irma Kretovich and Edward Gross. He was a volunteer at Jefferson Hospital and the Eye & Ear Hospital. A member of the Seniors of St. Max Thompson Club, Homestead Park, St. Therese's, and St. Mary, also a member of the Elks and Thompson Club, and a veteran of World War II. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of the former St. Mary Magdalene Church.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3511 Main St., Munhall, 412-461-6394. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Maximilian Kolbe Church.
