SOULIER DELORES (GEMEINHART)
83, of Evansville, Indiana formerly of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. Delores was born October 31, 1926 in Homestead, PA. She grew up in Munhall, PA and graduated in 1944 from Munhall High School. After the war, she married her high school sweetheart, Bill "Whitey" Soulier. She was a lifelong member of St. John Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. At church she was a member of the Esther Circle and she assisted in all the church social functions. Her family was the center of her life and she treasured all the times she spent with her grandchildren. After Harrison High School winning football game two weeks ago, Dee was presented the football from her grandson, Christopher's team. Her shining talents were recognized as a homemaker. Dee skills as a seamstress and in the art of cooking and baking were exceptional. Her family and her church family were often treated to her specialitys. As Dee lived her life, she created a unique story--producing a life of love, art and beauty. Delores is survived by her husband of 62 years, William J. Soulier of Evansville, IN, daughter, Lori (Barry) Procacina of Evansville, IN, son, Doug (Chris) Soulier of Pittsburgh, PA, grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher and Billy Procacina and Emily Soulier, nieces and nephews. Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Marie (Huber) and Edward Gemeinhart, sisters, Dorothy Porterfield, Marie Charters and brother, Charles Gemeinhart. Friends may visit from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Saturday September 11, 2010 and from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Sunday September 12, 2010 at GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 3511 Main St., Munhall, PA. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday September 13, 2010 at St. John Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 225 E. 10th Ave. Homestead, PA with Rev. Robert GaGo officiating. Burial will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Soulier family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Karl Sash and Dr. Mark Browning for their care and compassion shown to Delores during her illness.
