Dr. John Howard Wilkinson, 90, died on February 2, 2011 of Dublin Ohio formerly of Munhall. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Hartos Wilkinson and the loving father of Susan Wilkinson (David Axt) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Patricia Wilkinson King (John King) of Marysville, Ohio; and John Wilkinson (Robin Silva-Wilkinson) of Williamsburg, Michigan. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Lauren Wilkinson. He was the devoted grandfather of Katherine King Them (Greg) of Marysville, Ohio; Emily King Winters (Barry) of Granville, Ohio; and Jesse Wilkinson of East Setauket, New York; and great-grandfather of Izabel Them. Dr. Wilkinson received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University where he played football and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, John practiced medicine for 35 years in the Pennsylvania communities of Munhall, Homestead and Homestead Park. He was on the medical staff of Homestead Hospital and Jefferson Hospital, was Director of Home Health Care Services at Homestead Hospital and taught at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Dr. Wilkinson was a member of Churchill Valley Country Club and an avid golfer. He and Helen moved to Friendship Village of Dublin, Ohio in 2000.
