Edwin Regis Clair “Rege” died on September 19, 2012 at the age of 95 years.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Genevieve, and son in law Dr. William A. Bernhard. Rege was born in Wilkinsburg and became a life-long resident of Munhall.  He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux and its Holy Name Society.
Rege retired from the Pittsburgh Press and the Daily Messenger in 1979.  He was a veteran of WWII in the Army Medical Corps and served in Europe as a hospital administrator for wounded service personnel.  He belonged to the American Legion, Lion’s Club, the Knights of Columbus Homestead Council #2201 and the West Mifflin Men’s Garden Club.  He and his wife, Genny, were recognized as Munhall Borough Citizens of the Year in 1998 for their volunteer service to the community.  He loved to travel and he and Genny visited much of the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, took multiple Caribbean cruises, and sailed up the Amazon River.
He is survived by a son E. Robert Clair (Sandra), a daughter Patricia Bernhard, three grandchildren, Taylor Clair, Amanda (Matthew) Kittelberger, and Casey (Jenn) Bernhard, five great-grandchildren and Brother Chuck Clair.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Terri Kraft and her family for the love and support over the last six years. Guests will be received at George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall on Monday from 10 till time of Mass which will be held in St Therese Church at 12 NOON,  Interment will follow immediately at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to The Disabled American Veterans or The USO United Service Organization.
