Passed away at his home on May 20, 2024.
Preceded in death by father Gustav Tytke and mother Anne (Bremner). Sister Frances Dovichin and Patricia Andrews.
Survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Joyce (Gemeinhart); son Gustav C.; daugther-in-law Caitlin (Kollar) and grandchildren, Brayden Kollar, Gustav D., Everly; Haisley Tytke.
Daughter Kimberly Halliday, son-in-law Devin; grandchildren, Cooper and Cole.
Sister Cheryl Benson, brother-in-law Bernie Benson; sister Judy Progar and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gus worked for the University of Pittsburgh for 43 years. He loved hunting and fishing but most of all spending time with his family.
Family and friends will be recieved at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120, (412-461-6394), on Wednesday, May 22, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Visitation will continue the following day, Thursday, May 23, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Friday, May 24, at 10 AM with Pastor Keith Kaufold officiating. Burial is to follow.
