Lawrence Mathews

On Sept. 1, 2011, age 86 of Munhall;

Lawrence was born in Hazelwood the son of the late William and Margaret (Walton) Mathews;

Lawrence was a retired computer operator for US Steel Homestead Works;

Beloved husband of Virginia (Barry) Mathews;

Cherished father of Cindy (Bryan) Tyler – Koehler and Sandy (Don) Drozynski;

Special grandfather of Rob, Jake, Chris and Hanna;

Brother of Peggy Marbella, Frank and Tom Mathews and the late Jack, Bill and Sam Mathews;

Friends received Sunday 7 – 9 PM and Monday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120 (a selected Golden Rule Member) 412-461-6394.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday in St. Therese R. C. Church at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Lawrence's name to the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Leonard C. Staisey Building, 4724 Baum Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA  15213-1389.
