SCHAMING LEO JOSEPH "UNCLE LEO"
Surrounded by his loving family, on February 19, 2011, age 88, of Lincoln Place. Son of the late Leo and Irene (Shore) Schaming; beloved husband of the late Helen (Tasillo) Schaming; loving father of Gary, Diane (Regis) Ketter, Neil (Sue), Ralph (Kathleen), Rita (Mark) Schneider, and the late Maryann; greatly loved pap of Rebecca Schaming, Gina (Mike) White, Eve Schaming D.V.M., Debra (Mike) Belcher, Liz and Luke Schaming, Steven, Eric, Garrett and Leanna Schneider; great-grandpap of Sarah and Ethan; brother of Charles, Alfred, Raymond (Ginny) Schaming and Jean Downie. Preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Marie Gaston, Irene Kuhn, Regis and Carl Schaming. Leo retired from Mesta Machine Co. in 1983 after 42 years of service. Leo was an Army Veteran who had been stationed in Japan. Former Post Commander of VFW Catherine Ekert Post 5321. He was an active member of the Willock Club, The Thompson Club, The Hays/ Lincoln Place Sportsman Association, The AOH Club in the Southside, and the 31 st Ward Seniors Group. Leo was also a lector at Holy Angels Church where he was a member since 1950. Friends received on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3511 Main St., Munhall, 412-461-6394. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church.
