It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father, Lucien “Duke” P. Ramsey, who left us on March 14, 2025, at the age of 80. The son of James Harrington Ramsey and Virginia Appell Ramsey. He was born on August 10, 1944, in Pittsburgh, PA. He retired as a rehab counselor for the state of Pennsylvania, proudly served as a Marine and Vietnam Veteran, and was a dedicated 39-year member of A.A. Survived by his daughter Michelle Jacque Ramsey Smith, and her husband Edward D. Smith his sister Antoinette “Toni” Ramsey Bittner, three grandchildren, Cory E. Smith, and his wife Abby Smith, Courtney E. Smith, Ciersten M. Smith, and three great-grandchildren, Gabriella E. Smith, Gracie L. Smith, and Graydon C. Smith, along with his nieces and nephews, and countless friends in life. He has joined his heavenly family which preceded him, his wife Lois Jeanie Ramsey, his brother James H. Ramsey II, and his sister Joy Schussett. He was a man of immense conviction, humor and wisdom, and could make anyone feel welcome in his presence.
