SIMANIC MARIE U. (URBANY)
Age 92, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 1, 2013. She was born on August 5, 1920. beloved wife for 59 years of the late Nicholas A. "Nick" Simanic; loving mother of Debra Ann Simanic (Greg), David M. (Joanne) Simanic and Nicholas A. Simanic Jr. (Mary); loving grandmother of Kathleen Cosgrove and Christopher Simanic; also survived by sister-in-law, Lorraine Markus; aunt of Denise Markus, Johnny (Chris) Markus and Wendy (Jim) Gerst, Robert (Camille) Miksic; and numerous great-nephews and nieces. Also survived by many close friends and acquaintances she made throughout her life, including Bernice and Sue Lake of Florida, the Squelch Family of New Mexico, the Deakin Family, the DiNardo Family, the Sabo Family, the Lindner Family, the Manfredi Family, Nell Andreychuk and Gert Wilhide. Mom was a thoughtful and caring person during her life, and if you were to look at the definition of the word "Mother" in the dictionary, there would be no words, only a picture of mom. A special thanks to Deacon Dan Nizen for his prayers and visits with mom. A special thanks to Jen, Megan, Jul, Mikkula and Bill for their care of mom at Jefferson Hospital, and a thanks to the staff of the Family Hospice Center in Mt. Lebanon and the home care staff of Family Hospice for their compassionate care of mom. Friends received on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3511 Main St., Munhall, 412-461-6394. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels RC Church, Hays.
