Mary Hicks

Mary Alice Kenyon Hicks 104 years old died on Wednesday July 6, 2011 in Columbus OH.  She was born on March 11, 1907, in Huntingdon, Pa the youngest of the seven children of Martha Bard Kenyon and James Oliver Kenyon.  Her Husband, Gilbert, preceded her in death.  Surviving is a daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Steve Hall and granddaughter, Dr. Kelsey Hall, Ed.D.; all of Ohio and nieces and nephews.  Alice was a 70 year member of Whitaker Methodist Church.  She sang in the choir, was active in many committees, taught children and played the piano.  Alice was a member of the Eastern Star, Daughter of the Nile, Homestead Woman's Club and AARP.  She sewed for the Shrine's Children's Hospital and traveled extensively.  The family requests that memorial contributions in remembrance of Alice be given to the Whitaker United Methodist Church, 124 Arkansas Avenue, Whitaker Pa 15120 Private services were conducted by the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc.
