Patricia (Craven) Lucas passed away peacefully on December 27th 2023, at the age of 81.
She was born in Homestead, PA on December 8, 1942.
The daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Betty) Craven.
She is survived by her husband Robert E. Lucas. Patty and Robert have been married 61 years.
She is survived by her daughter Natalie (Lucas) and son-in-law Edward Fetzko, son Robert J. Lucas and daughter-in-law Michele Lucas.
Her three grandchildren, Shane Lucas, Courtney (Lucas) and Ian Fry, Alexis (Lucas) and Matthew Hoesch.
Her four great-grandchildren, Mikenna, Leighton, Dawson and Myla.
Patty is also the eldest of her four sisters, also known as the “Craven Girls”.
She is survived by Sharon (Craven) and Michael Harding, Kathy (Craven) and Jack Pikula, Carole (Craven) and Joe Miller.
Things that meant the most to Patty were her family, going to church, her love for jewelry and the occasional need to always buy something from HSN or QVC. Her best friends and “Club Girls”, the occasional glass of wine (always add ice), cigarette or a few, having her nails done and always dressing for the occasion.
Patty will be most remembered for her loving personality, soft spoken voice, beautiful smile, and her passionate and selfless heart. She had a unique way of humor and wittiness that could have a room laughing in tears instantly. She was the voice of reason, a straightforward attitude, and the leader of her family.
What Patty deserves to be acknowledged for the most is the 20 years of selflessness in taking care of her husband, Robert. Robert had suffered a massive stroke on Lake Erie. Patty drove the boat back to the dock to get him to safety, but from there he had become handicapped. Patty always put him and others before herself ensuring everything was taken care of for him and their household. Managing life is difficult, managing a life for two is somewhat unimaginable, and Patty did it with patience, grace, and an insurmountable amount of love that will forever be unmeasured.
Although we have lost the leader of our family, we have gained our guiding light for our futures. Patty was truly an angel sent to our family and those she loved dearly. Her imprint will be left on all our family’s generations to come; to continue the foundation she set forth for our family.
To our wife, mom, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, Grandma aka Gigi, Patty… you will forever be in our hearts. We love you.
