Richard Strom

Richard Strom 61 of  McCormick, SC, formerly of McKeesport  has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

Rick was born in McKeesport on January 17, 1950, beloved son of the late Gustaf K & Margaret P Strom. He was a graduate of McKeesport High School class of 1967. In 1972 he was employed with US Steel, Irvin Plant, as a mill right helper and moved up to Electrician Systems Supervisor before retiring in 2005. He continued his employment with IMS (Integrated Mill Systems) out of Cleveland, OH as Project Engineer until the time of his death.

Loving husband of  Sandra (Grieb) Strom, beloved father of  Shawn (Denise) of McKeesport, David of Donora; Stepfather of  Ashley and Tuesdae of Greensburg & Nicolas Checque of VA Cherished grandfather of: Maura, Maybel & Dylan. Friend of Barbara Priestly mother of Maura (Granddaughter) Brothers Donald (Jacelyn) of East McKeesport, Dale (Linda) of Pittsburgh, Robert  (Marcey) of N. Huntingdon & the late Kenneth Strom. Niece Chelsea & Nephews Ryan, Weston & Duston. Also Aunts, Uncles and cousins and  all of whom he cared for, loved and enjoyed spending his life with including his best friend, Larry (Lynette) Moisey & family.

Friends will be received at George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc., 3511 Main St, Munhall, on Wednesday 6 to 9 PM and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be in Resurrection Church, 1 Majka Drive, W Mifflin, PA 15122 on Friday at 10:30 am.  Graveside service will be at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, 733 Patton St. Monroeville, PA  16146
