Ronald Earl Schuette, 62, of Oregon, Ohio, formerly of Homestead, PA died Friday, April 29, 2011 at UPMC Passavant Hospital.  Born July 8, 1948 in Homestead, he was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy Schuette.  He was the beloved brother of Bonnie Jean (Franklin) Blackstone; beloved uncle of Paul Brooks (Ocllo) Mason, Jr., and great uncle of Paul Brooks Mason, III, Philip Davis Mason and David Robertson Mason.  He was also loved by his extended family, Carlen Blackstone and Mei-Ling A. Blackstone, Franklin (Alison) Blackstone, III, and  Kent R. and Mitchell L. Blackstone, Martha L. Blackstone and Robert J. Boyle, and Rodney B. Blackstone.  He was a Regional Sales Manager to the Steel Industry for Reuning-McKim, Inc.  He graduated from Homestead High School where he excelled in sports.  He served his country in Viet Nam with the United States Navy.  “For those who fought for it…freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.”  A graduate of California University, he taught school at West Mifflin South Middle School before being employed by U. S. Steel Metallurgy Department, Homestead Works. He was a member of the California University Alumni Association, the Turners German Club, Anchor Point Marina and the Toledo Boat Club.  He enjoyed fishing and boating.  He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His nephew, niece and great nephews were the joy of his life.  Family will welcome friends at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, 5825 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA 15007, at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.  Interment is private.  Arrangements are being handled by The George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to Jumonville, a Christian Camp and Retreat Center, 877 Jumonville Road, Hopwood, PA  15445
